So the appointment with the Dr today went awesome. Other than the fact that the elevator was broken with someone inside! So I had to carry both of them up the stairs and ditch my stroller at the bottom- losing socks and shoes on the way. But I'm happy to say that the boys have inner ear infections...ugghhh and thats why we have had throwing up for a month- and also greyson does have a hernia and we are going to talk with a surgeon sometime in the next month. My poor little guys! I'm happy that I finally know whats going on and that I can help them feel better. It's a huge relief knowing what is happening. I can't believe the other doctors missed it completley- I mean really isnt an ear infection easy to see if it's happening? I don't know I'm just mad that they had to be upset longer than necesscary- when i tried everything to get them better. And after having been through this the past month I feel like I deserve a coconut cupcake from crave and some ginger beef from Kam Han. Yay for me not completley losing my mind. I'm excited to get back to normal no puking screaming whining fevers bowel issues runny noses coughs laundry disinfecting changing sheets every day!!! Really I'm so greatful for my family doctor hes awesome!

oh yeah! I'm so glad you found out what was wrong with them. Those ear infections are no good. Carter used to get them a lot and the Dr. told Angie to not give him milk at bed time because of the bacteria it causes triggers the ear infections. Shes given water to the rest and they seem to not get them as much.
ReplyDeletePoor baby with a hernia though. Sad!
That coconut cupcake looks delish!
What a horrible horrible ordeal!!!! I'm grateful for you guys that you got it all figured out! Poor babies and poor you :( I had a Hernia when I was a baby too, still have the scars hope everything works out, we'll send prayers your way
ReplyDeleteglad you know now! Angie had a hernia, and they said 2/3 kids they fix themselves!!!! and hers did like 1 month before the mark of when they do surgery! hopefully yours do too!
ReplyDeleteHow SAD that your docs didn't catch this until just recently! A hernia, for crying out loud, should not be that hard to check for even if one isn't exactly *looking* for it. Anyway, I'm glad everyone can now get on the mend (and you can take a break from nurse detail!).
ReplyDeleteOh Bree thank goodness the doctor figured it out! I think we're all relieved- what a crazy month! You deserve another vacation, but I guess the cupcake and chinese will have to do!
ReplyDeleteI feel for you really I do! I hated going to the doctor day after day with Ethan while he was throwing up and telling them yes he's still sick and they just look at me like you know what I think you are crazy how do you feel about that??? HOW DO I FEEL??? IM NOT CRAZY YOU DORK!DID YOU GO TO MEDICAL SCHOOL OR? Anyway... that is not the point. The point is that I understand what you mean. I am glad things will get back to normal with your life now.
