To my Siri

Today is a bittersweet day for me and my family. This is the day my sister passed away. I was in 4th grade- it's been 18 years and it always strikes a cord in my heart to remember her today. I'm one to look at the positives and just wanted to express my love for her and just the memory of a deep sisterly bond that we shared. I have a deep Love for my parents on days like today. I don't know how they went through losing two children and they are my heroes for making it a positive experience for me and my other sisters. It brought our family together and it made me have a perspective towards life that I would not have if it weren't for these life experiences. Life is amazing yet it can be short- so enjoy the little moments -the journey.
Make your happiness happen. Live your dreams.

  1. If you don't mind me asking- How did your sister die? It is always hard to lose someone you love.

  2. I had two sisters that developed a rare genetic double recessive disease that basically attacked their muscles. there are only about 15 cases ever documented.

  3. Having a baby of my own I couldn't imagine watching her go through what your sisters went through before they passed. You have always been an inspiration to me and I hope that your knowledge of eternal families helps you in this earthly life, although it seems that knowledge may only be a bandaid for an open wound that will be forever on the heart of your family.

  4. I can't imagine how hard that would be for a mother/sister/any loved one to watch. What a great attitude you must have inherited from your parents. What great love they must have!

  6. Your positive outlook on life makes something so sad become so hope filled. I never knew Siri, but I well remember Tatos. Your family was truly blessed with those special spirits for a short time! Gracie walked into the room as I was typing, saw Siri's picture and got a huge grin on her face as she pointed and said "baby". Maybe they were friends :)
