{The first day of spring and my 23d birthday}

It's officially here.. the first day of spring and my birthday. I think the man knew to send me on this day because it fits my personality to a t! I love birthdays and they are part of the reason that I decided to become an event planner. My mom through awesome parties and I'll never ever forget my birthdays. My favorite was my 5th birthday. We'd just moved from salt lake to north ogden to our new house. I was excited but nervous. Our old house there wasnt a lot of room and all I wanted was a hot pink bike. But there wasnt lots of room to ride it. with our new house we lived right next to this huge field where there were bike paths and fields to go explore and make forts- the imagination capabilities were endless. I remember waking up that morning and my om bought me my favorite cereal- I kn0w that sounds weird but to a 5 year old it was the world. She did my hair cute in curlers and I went to school in a new outfit with a treat for my class- was birthday days not the best in elementary! I miss that. My mom had my best friend from salt lake come up for my party. I had a barbie birthday cake and I just remember feeling pure joy. As I left for school that morning I have a memory of a tree outside our house that was blooming pink- a cherry tree. they are special trees to me because they remind me of all things happy cheery springy and bright. And they remind me of my birthday. Already I've had friends sending me wishes and it's been an awesome day I have amazing friends- I woke up to bright rays of sunshine hitting my face as I lay in bed this morning and felt so happy It was like "Hey bree this is heavenly father I love you. Have a great day!

I always reflect back on the year I've had and what I've learned as a person soo I came up with a list of 23 things I've learned/best moments this year...I like lists I'm sorry!

1. I'm a lot more patient this year than last year

2. I've become a better listener

3. I've been braver and gone on new adventures

4. I've learned that theres is a lot of joy that comes along with being a mom.

5. I've learned that if you don't voice your opinion you'll never get what you want out of life.{some wise ladies told me that one and it's had a big impact on my life this year}

6. I slid down waterfalls- was a huge highlight of this year

7. Having a weekend with my sisters was awesome especially jumping on the bed
8. Having twins-being a new mother- its been a great joy and learning experience

9. The week brandon took a week of vacation and we decided to go explore calgary- it was so fun not having the stress of packing and just explorig our own city.

10. The first time I went antique shopping with keisha was such a blast I havn't had a girl moment like that in a long time

11. Learned to not take what people say so seriously- giving people the benefit of the doubt see tings through there eyes.

12. Taking the boys swimming and watching them freak out at the pool was a great moment- I love seeing wonder through there eyes.

13. I learned that I adore crave coconut cupcakes

14. I've learned to be better on the phone- I still love my e-mail

15. I've learned how to beat brandon in mario cart- I know!!!!

16. The day I did the galla- I felt like I was accomplishing a dream- and it's felt good to follow my dream

17. The day byu-i's letter came-that was a good day

18. I love watching brandon with the boys he's such a good dad-especially when he talks about them to me- his face will get smile lines- and I know he's truly happy

19. I cut my hair- and donated it to locks of love- that was a big day too

20. spet fun days in idaho playing with the kids on 4 wheelers and teaching them backflips on the trampoline

21. I survived a month of very sick twins- it was probabally one of the hardest things I've ever done.

22. I learned to worry less

23. I learned that sometimes you just have to go for what you want. Take a leap of faith

It's been a wonderful year of new friends old friends family growing moments of joy and happiness. And I have to say I'm very greatful for it all. YAY for birthdays!
