My very favorite movies....

ok this pic isnt of me its of brandon in paris on his mission when the new star wars came out-it makes me laugh-cause I love star wars too. And I went to it while he was in France.

This is going to be a fun one... I surprise people with my movie selection.... everyone I talk to where we have this conversation is shocked at what films I love. I do not like chick flicks. I'm find the story lines predictable and unentertaining. I know I'm such a prude.... I do however love artsy movies with a love undertone... sundance film festival would be a blast to go too. I also love mystery action films. Anything that has a happy ending- sad ending movies make me leave feeling incomplete-anyone else feel that way?
Who done its also very good.
So my top 10 movies....
10. Cool Runnings- Who dosn't get goosebumps at the end when they lift the sled and carry it-
YEAH BABY THATS WHAT THE OLYMPICS ARE ABOUT! It was also one of my Favorite movies before I moved to Calgary- weird eh? It was preparing me lol
9. Back to the Future- You've already heard me talk about this- but I love that I find little things in the movie every time I watch it. And if you are a big nerd like I am watch it with commentary- I love film commentary- why directors do the things they do.
8. Casino Royale- the jumping off the buildings scene- come on thats cool
7. Indiana Jones-Brandon kissed me during this movie for the first time- might be why we have a son named Harrison ;) Plus it reminds me of Disneyland
6. Star Wars- I know see Brandon and I were meant to be together. But I enjoy almost the double meaning behind things.
5. Blind Side- this show mad me laugh made me cry- I loved everything about it
4. Wait Until Dark- It's an old audrey Hepburn film-She's a blind lady who's pulled into a murder mystery- it's amazing how she listens to things to figure out whats going on-I have it if anyone wants to borrow it.
3- This wouldnt be a list without a musical- my fav musical to watch in movie form is
Thoroughly modern millie- she tap dances to make the elevator work- and wears 1920's clothing
LOVE LOVE LOVE! with Julie Andrews  too-I also love the Sound of Music
2- THe Wizard of Oz- this film is amazing on so many levels- If you ever want to know where tons of film things came from- it was the Wizard of Oz.-Also great to watch the commentary.
1-Ever After- ok my 1 chick flick- She's strong independent- meets Davinci- I love her angel costume for the masquerade. And I do like Drew Barrymore.

Brandons fav's to come tonight...

something that stresses me...

Well I thought about this one all day and I was trying so hard to think of something witty or comical or a story I can share but alas my creative brain is on hiatius tonight so heres what I came up with- nothing to great just day to day stuff- but Im sure in 10 years I'll read this and laugh.

I stress when I am late to things- I really don't like to be late. I make fun of my father in law because he pushes the limits of time to the max- that man can talk anyone into letting him on a closed airplane. He misses more flights and has close calls than anyone I know and I love giving him a hard time about it.

I stress when I look at my house and think did I not just clean you and do 4 loads of laundry of which have 18 pairs of little boy underwear. I have way too much laundry. I'm so glad Brandon is great at Laundry- he knows how to fold like a pro! I admit its not my strength at all!  Also as a side note Have I mentioned how cute the boys  butts look in underwear- little superheroes I tell you. And we bought them little boxers oh so funny!

I stress when I look at my carpet- weird I know but it is trashed- totally trashed. Even though we've had the carpets cleaned crumbs and windex and "other things" still cover my carpet. Anyone have a rumba?
I would seriously love to try one of those bad boys.

I stress about treating my body right

I stress about treating my boys fairly- that they get equal time with me it's hard. I hate nap time every day- not being able to be with both of them when they call out my name is painful. I want them to know I love them both as individuals.

I stress about Brandon and I and our relationship if he knows how much I still adore him and hanging out with him and if he knows I still watch him when he's not looking. Even today he's just sitting across from me with a hoodie on. It reminds me of Being at school with him. And how much I just love who he is. Relaxed Down to earth Sincere Kind and Ruggedly Handsome. I think he has the tall dark and handsome thing covered.
I worry If he knows this after 3 kids.

I stress about finishing school.
Sometimes I just have to remember it's not my timing. I'll finish.
It's just taking forever.

Top 5 things we loved about Hawaii

1. TREES AND VEGETATION THEY ARE EVERYWHERE AND GREEN AND IT SMELLS GOOD ON EVERY CORNER YOU GO TOO! THE BANYON TREES WERE MY FAV.
They reminded me of Swiss family robinson- I wanted to climb them soo bad!
don't make me leave the palm trees!

2. How colorful everything is
I dress like my crazy 80s self here in bright colors and nobody thinks Im crazy!
I was super drawn to these surfboards they made me happy all week I loved the gradation
and the color of them. Dosn't hurt that johnson looks studly.
I also loved this wall-

And this one- there are murals everywhere- Its really cool to see artists point of view everywhere I turn.

3. The food! We ate at hard rock cafe chilis the cheesecake factory- had french crepes on the beach for breakfast, mexican probably every day. We also had the opportunity to attend a traditional Luau- we made friends with a couple from Ohio who had 3 little boys- It was a super cool experience I highly recommend it. If you ever go to Hawaii.  Entertainment while you eat- tiki torches everywhere- they give you fresh laes and The night show after is also fabulous. It was pretty awesome to see them take the smoked pig out of the ground eat out of pineapples. AND...The rice was so yummy tasted like coconut!
oh and my new fav place yogurt land! It was cute inside - and basically you can mix your own ice cream and toppings and you pay by weight which is cool that you can make your own portion sizes. I got tons of fresh pineapple on mine with chocolate cookie dough yummmmmmmm. We ate this by a little pier and we were the only ones there- it was so secluded and just refreshing/fun. We neeeeed this in calgary. I miss ice cream shops. Maybe because I worked in a dairy back home.

4. The beach - many hours of beach time doing.....nothing but playing in the waves
The waves in Waikiki are legendary. Powerful and fun- they broke my shoes!
We wrote notes back and forth to each other in the sand when one of us would go down to cool off-
it was fun:)
5. Being together I think just being able to have fun together was the best part. Nothing to worry about. No kids that come before each other every day. It was super nice to stay out till 12- walk on the beach if we wanted too-sleep in- eat in peace-and cruise in our amazingly fun car! I loved just going on drives and walks at night and just talking -really that was probably my favorite part.
More on our adventures tomorrow-
right now I havn't slept in 24 hours and Im thoroughly
exhausted and jet lagged from the flight home.
note to self-
never book a flight in a turbo propeller plane again
I think brandon secretly likes that I squeeze his arm to death when we fly.

DEFINITION OF PARADISE

So our trip started off amazing. I get a little nervous on small planes. I don't like taking off landing and any type of turbulence. Luckily Brandon distracted me by just talking and loading videos on his i pod for me to watch. Luckily our connecting flight had tvs in the headrests- you could also play games like bejeweled and trivial pursuit with other people on the plane. Super fun. I won a round and I give credit to my humanities teacher Miss Keim for teaching me facts about poland and russia. I really do love history it's one of my very favorite subjects.

We start to land in oahu and I get my camera out...
I had a surprise waiting for Brandon.

I ordered anniversary leis for us to wear.
So We were greeted by a traditional Hawaiian lady she was sooo nice she performed the lei ceremony where she kissed us on both cheeks said aloha and placed our leis on each of us. Brandon's smile was huge- I have to admit it was the best way to start out our trip. So fun so part of the culture. I highly recommend it. Then our Lady showed us to baggage claim told us all the really cool places to go and where to get the best deals. I remember walking outside and seeing the most gorgeous tree I have ever seen in my life. Literally like I walked into paradise. She showed us to the shuttle which then took us to the rental car place. When we went to get the rental car they asked if we wanted to upgrade our car for 10 bucks more a day and we could get a jeep or a mustang convertible. Now Anyone who knows me well- knows I have this thing with driving in cool fast cars
and having really loud music on.
The stuff you can sing to and not care if anyone sees you
 Natural high for me.
This people has been my dream sine I've been 16 to drive a convertible
that was red somewhere tropical. Brandon knows this is on my dream list.
He took one look at me smiled and was like done...
I love this man! Literally wanted to cry this day kept getting better and better
It pays to book things online before-

forgive the crazy hair i was super excited and schmaggy after 9 hours of traveling

can you tell
brandon was laughing at me

eyes on road johnson eyes on road!

So we drive our little convertible to our hotel. We stayed at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani. The front desk people laughed at how excited I was to be there how I loved the flower arrangements and I told them it was our anniversary and we were excited to escape the canadian cold. The cute receptionist girl went to the back for a minute came back out and said we upgraded your room. I like happy people. Happy anniversary. WOW Our room had a balcony and we could
see the ocean and all the city lights and night life amazing.

We knew we needed to stay up so our jet lag wouldn't be bad so we went to chills and ate. Thats where we had our first date when we were in Rexburg. I remember playing tic tac toe with the coasters and the flip game with the coasters so it was kindve fun to reminisce.

Then we walked around the international marketplace- its very fun there such a cool vibe.
And finally we took a walk on the beach- and as cheesy as this sounds it was right as the sun was setting. The tide was high and the waves were so peaceful. I love being here with my best friend and Im so grateful for this memory I'll forever have with him.

happy feet in the sand- is our def of paradise

Vintage Ferris Wheels,Steamboats and Drive in Theaters

so every summer Brandon and I go on little adventures we start the day not knowing where we'll end up- this started in college when we had a fun itinerary. we're big fans of discovering cool things in your own city. It's amazing what you can find to do 15 minutes from your house. So Brandon takes flex days each month and we go on an adventure-discover something. We decided to go to heritage park and check out the new car exhibit-because we knew greyson would love it. And it was a gorgeous day.
miss coco had fun playing with mommy while the boys went on the ferris wheel.
Ok time to admit something..i have this thing for ferris wheels- I love the way they look - that they remind me of my childhood. Going to liberty park with my grandparents and aunt and riding. I love the colors of carnival rides- they don't sparse on color. Heritage park is cool because all their rides were part of canada's history and used in traveling fairs in the early 30's-60's If that didn't get me to love them I don't know what can.greyson was hilarious on this carousel he'd whip the rope down and go yee haw-
I love this picture  of my boys
Brandon really liked the shell car exhibit-  I swear he was an oil and gas guy from birthI caught this sweet picture near the end of the day- boys were tired so we went on the steamboat- we are going to miss holding both in our arms its getting closer to the point where we cant do that.I loved the color and line of these wish I could put them in my houseThey staged an old drive in at the new exhibit- and had 1950's board games to play-
the boys loved driving this car!there were vintage bikes for kids to try- the boys also adored this part of the park. they didn't quit get pedaling but were working on that! me and lil miss coco on the train finally sitting- I like the train- boys cant run ;) the boys kept saying tooot tooot- im amazed at what they pick up!

ha love the cheesy brandon smile the boys said weeeeeee whenever
it came down and he was laughing at them

great adventure
beautiful day
better company
