stampede kids day

stampede kids day is awesome if you get there before 9 you get in free- and there's tons of cool activities for kids to do. Brandon had to work it this year so I decided to brave it alone...and for an all day trip wher eyou take the train to get there, it was a big deal for me, I wanted to prove to myself i could do it alone with all three and have fun. Harrison is doing great at learning safety rules and staying by me is so much easier than last year! He's doing amazing I'm so proud of how hard he works every day. Greyson as always was my little helper and hauled the wagon around all day I'm amazed at how strong that kid is, and everyone stopped me to say how cute coco looked in her boots and lil fascinator they even asked for one for the stampede 100 year time capsule!

 this was awesome they got to meet mike the knight.. greyson loves him, hes very into knights right now.Harrison was just as thrilled- and then asked me mom? where the big lightning mqueen?( don't worry buddy your moms a disney buff ) we'll be there soon christmas is coming.They also saw the bmo bear- it was blue and harrison said mom its grumpy!...aka care bears- he has a great memory we've only seen that show maybe twice!

 greyson constantly asks about grandma mona and peggy and susans houses- he saw this tractor and thought we were there! He loves idaho! and all the fun toys to ride on.

Long HOT HOT day, but a lot of good memories. And I DID IT!

centennial stampede

I love the Calgary stampede. Its like a state fair but times 10. Calgary is famous for it and I love taht the whole city gets dressed up in cowboy attire and every store is decorated western.  that there's a free pancake breakfast every day of the stampede! 

Imagine flipping pancakes for 20,000 people!- in one morning!

So for the centennial they amped it up, and had a firework show in 5 quadrants of the city. We went to a remote new construction place by our house and could see all 5 shows at once- it was pretty cool! Brandon and I got a baby sitter and went to the grandstand show. He won awesome seats from work thanks shell! Paul brandt sang in the show- they had acrobats the chuckwagon races and it was just awesome. 

 umm yeah this is the real thing,and for those who know me its my all time favorite show ever! that and back to the future. cool runnings takes place in Calgary- and usually this bad boy is on top of the bar where the fight scene is in the movie, but they had it here and i couldnt miss the moment to sit in the awesome sled!

 right before the grandstand show the beautiful view of calgary, I love this city. and I love this picture, might frame it and put it in my bathroom, I've always had a thing for ferris wheels( amusement parks) and sparkly things at night!

Girls Stampede Day

So I think we might have a new yearly tradition on our hands. I've always loved going to Stampede. Brandon first took me when we were dating. And I still remember seeing the grandstand show with him and how fun that night was. Anyways so this year we decided to ditch the kidlets- except miss coco- and go see all the shops and the dream home ect all the stuff the guys could care less about- and it was awesome! Sorry guys but sometimes girls just have more fun.

She'll try everything- which makes her beyond fun to shop with.
